TurnStyle
TurnStyle was created by a team of a total of 13 University of California Santa Cruz students during the Senior Capstone sequence of classes across two phases of development (Alpha and Beta). I joined the team as a programmer at the very beginning of the Beta phase. The team already had a working prototype with all the combat logic built in the Phaser Game Engine. My first task was to port that central logic from Phaser's JavaScript to Unity's C#. This necessitated a wholesale rework of the back-end's class structure, which I designed myself with consolation from the original programmers. My next task was to implement the Subway Node Map, which I designed from the ground up to make it as easy for the designers to create new iterations of the map as possible. I also worked collaboratively with the other programmers to implement UI elements and functions along with squashing as many bugs as possible.
