I'm Josh Temple, a game designer and programmer from the Bay Area, California. My love of games started when I fell in love with Magic: the Gathering after learning about it from the cool older kids at summer camp. Since then I've only fallen more in love with games in all their forms from card games to board games to video games.
That passion for games of all kinds has led to me to UC Santa Cruz's Computer Science: Computer Game Design program and I'll be graduating with a B.S. this summer. While I love all types of games, I am especially drawn to games with rich stories to tell and any game that gives me an intriguing system or puzzle to wrap my mind around.
If I'm not playing or working on a game you can probably find me watching a San Francisco Giants game or with my nose stuck in a Sci-Fi or Fantasy book.
I'm currently looking for opportunities as a designer and/or programmer after I graduate and am willing to potentially relocate, so please feel free to get in touch.

A.S Advanced Computer Programming
After getting my A.S from Berkeley City College I transferred to UCSC where I have added game design skills and more advanced programming knowledge to the foundation I built at BCC. During my time at UCSC I have had lots of amazing opportunities to collaborate with other passionate designers, programmers, and artists on a number of exciting projects both inside and outside the classroom. TurnStyle, Untitled Parkour Game, and High Larceny were all designed and worked on as part of my coursework. Through my classes and these projects I have greatly improved not only my technical skills but also my collaboration and communication skills.
Outside of my coursework I have also been a member of the Game Design and Art Collaboration, taking part in events like Pitch Night and working on projects like Asterion.
During my time at BCC I built a strong foundation in computer programming, taking classes in specific languages like Java and C# while also building my more theoretical understanding in classes like Data Structures and Algorithms. I also took the opportunity to step outside the programming sphere by branching out with my general education classes even going as far a field as to take a class in the machine shop at Laney College.
